Wie erkennt man einen under the table Deal?
Wie bereits besprochen ist von under the table Deals abzuraten, da diese für den Spieler ein nicht zu vernachlässigendes Risiko darstellen. Klar, manche Deals funktionieren einwandfrei weil man einen soliden Affiliate der brav seine Verdienste weitergibt. Aber viele tun dies eben nicht, oder sind eigentlich brav und solide, verlieren aber ihren Deal weil sie zum Beispiel illegal zuviel Rakeback weitergeben, oder warum auch immer.
Under the table Deals erkennt man ganz einfach daran, dass der Affiliate irgendwelche Daten der Spieler braucht. Meist ist das der Username, der zur Identifikation dient. Der under the table Affiliate bekommt dann regelmäßig eine Liste seiner Spieler und wieviel Rake sie gemacht haben. Auf dieser Grundlage gibt er dann Rakeback an die Spieler weiter (oder auch nicht).
Es ist kein under the table Deal wenn der Affiliate nicht einmal den Usernamen der Spieler braucht. Dann das ist ein Indiz, dass die Spieler auf eine andere Weise, nämlich vom Pokerraum selbst bezahlt werden.
Also bei under the table Deals immer darauf achten, ob der Affiliate einen Usernamen braucht. Wenn ja, ist es wahrscheinlich ein under the table Deal. Wenn nicht, übernimmt die Zahlung der Pokerraum selbst und es ist kein under the table Deal.
Wann sollte man sein Rakeback empfangen?
Für manche spielt es überhaupt keine Rolle und für andere wiederum ist es ein entscheidendes Kriterium: in welchen Zeitabständen erfolgt die Rakeback Zahlung. Früher war einmal monatlich das Maß aller Dinge und heute wäre dem eigentlich auch noch so, denn der Grund warum man es monatlich machte war der, dass die Pokerräume auch monatlich bezahlt werden und die Abrechnung bekommen. Und da sich daran nichts geändert hat, sollte es immernoch so sein. Mittlerweile ist dies aber den meisten Spielern zu wenig. Sie wollen öfter Rakeback bekommen und aus der Sicht des Spielers ist es ganz logisch: je öfter man Rakeback bekommt, desto länger kann man damit arbeiten und es wieder investieren. Allerdings bedeutet das auch ein Mehraufwand für die meisten Pokerräume. Sicher, es gibt Netzwerke, die tägliche Rakebackzahlungen anbieten, aber das sind alles kleine Netzwerke, die verzweifelt sind. Der Nutzen von täglichem Rakeback ist längst nicht so hoch wie der Nutzen von iPoker oder Ongame Rakeback, welches nur monatlich bezahlt wird. Insofern ist alles relativ.
Bei einem guten iPoker Rakeback Deal wird man wöchentlich bezahlt. Wenn es nur monatlich ist, würde ich mir Gedanken machen, denn dann spricht das eher für einen “under the table” Deal, dh dass die Zahlungen ohne Absprache mit dem Pokerraum vom Affiliate stammen. Als Spieler heißt das, dass man die Auszahlungsperioden relativieren muss. Klar, wenn man auf iPoker die Wahl zwischen einem 40 % Deal und täglicher Auszahlung und einem 40 % Deal mit monatlicher Auszahlung hat, ist die Entscheidung klar. Aber meist muss man abwägen ob man lieber einen 35 % Deal mit täglicher Auszahlung oder einen 40 % Deal bei wöchentlicher Auszahlung nimmt. In diesem Fall würde ich letzteren empfehlen.
Dicke Strafen für iPoker Skins
Zurzeit geht es rund und es ist eine traurige Tatsache, dass iPoker mittlerweile mit irgendwelchen Strafen fast mehr verdient als mit dem eigentlichen Pokergeschäft! Das sieht dann in etwa so aus: iPoker googelt nach Seiten, die die Worte Rakeback und iPoker beinhalten und schaut ob diese Seite irgendwelche Affiliate Links auf einen iPoker Skin hat. Wenn dem so ist, gehen sie dem nach und überprüfen ob man dort Rakeback auf iPoker bekommen kann. Wenn ja, verfolgen sie entweder den Affiliate, der den Link gesetzt hat oder klopfen bei dem Skin an, der das anbietet. Danach wird noch etwas getestet und wenn sich herausstellt, dass Skin XYZ fixes Rakeback vergeben hat oder den VIP Status mißbraucht, dann gibt’s Ärger. Meistens in Form einer dicken Strafe wegen Verstoß gegen die Netzwerk Regeln. Und damit kassiert iPoker inzwischen sehr gut ab weil sogut wie alle iPoker Skins in irgendeiner Form gegen die Netzwerkregeln verstoßen oder verstoßen müssen!
Ipoker VIP Boost
At iPoker skins there are different VIP levels and rankings. The VIP Boost is part of it but can’t be compared to rakeback. It only helps to collect FPPs more quickly and this equals about 2 – 4 % more rakeback at some ipoker skins. So if you get an ipoker rakeback offer you should ask whether VIP Boost is included or not because it can make a difference although it’s a tiny one.
How to spot an under the table deal
We already talked about the risk of under the table rakeback deals. Sure, some deals work well and there’s no reason to complain if you have a solid affiliate that pays on a regular basis. But a lot of them don’t do that. Or maybe they are solid and serious but lose their deal, quit the business or whatever. There’s a lot that can happen.
You can spot under the table deals when the affiliate asks for certain data like a username or the email you registred with. He needs this data to track you write and that he’s able to pay the rakeback (under the table).
But it can’t be an under the table deal if the affiliate doesn’t ask for a username or has no interest in receiving it. Then the rakeback will be paid by the room itself and not by the affiliate.
So you have to be careful if an affiliate asks for your username when offering rakeback. Then it seems that it’s an under the rakeback deal and you shouldn’t go with it.
Be cautious with 2+2 offers
There’s no doubt that 2+2 is the biggest and probably best poker forum out there. But ist size is not only a bless because there are a lot of crooks out there trying to make some money. A very new wave are unserious rakeback offers especially for ipoker and ongame.
You have to take a look at the Affiliates/Rakeback section at 2+2. There you can ask for offers (through PM) and will receive a lot of offers. But lots of these offers will be from unserious affiliates that offer under the table deals. Under the table deals are very risky because only the affiliate is responsible for that and if the affiliate is not serious you have a problem. He may be on vacation, can’t pay or whatever he claims when the money is not coming. These are all signs that he’s a crook and wants to make some quick cash.
Of course there are also serious affiliates that pay you on a regular basis. But in general you have to be cautious with such deals. The best case if the deal was initiated through the skin itself. That means that you will receive your rakeback in your player account on a regular basis and the affiliate only receives his commission and not your rakeback!
Sure, the skin might get problems with ipoker and has to pay a penalty. But this won’t be the end of the skin. An affiliate relationship is terminated quickly though and there’s an additional risk with such under the table deals.
Penalties for ipoker skins
Nowadays it’s not easy to be an iPoker skin. The rakeback situation is tough but you have to give away rakeback unless you’re not competitive. Legal loyality programs are nice but you will only get 40 % + if you rake a few thousands each month. Then it’s easier to pay flat rakeback where also small players profit.
So what is iPoker doing with skins that pay rakeback or exagerate any VIP programs. Ipoker is googeling for websites where the words „ipoker“ and „rakeback“ appear. If a domain doesn’t include the word rakeback chances are that ipoker doesn’t care about that. However, if they find any offer that looks like an ipoker rakeback offer they contact them pretending to be a player looking for a deal. Then they receive any details and find out which skin and if that happens several times and is proven the ipoker skin gets a penalty.
And with those penalties ipoker makes a lot of money right now. That’s the ugly situation right now.
Why iPoker?
It’s pretty surprising. If you ask 10 good players where they prefer to play. 7 of them say iPoker, 2 ongame and the other one Entraction, Boss, Cereus or something else. I guess there’s a reason for that and indeed there are many reasons why iPoker is prefered by many players. One good reason is the tremendous traffic especially at shorthanded games with a lot of action at higher stakes. Sure, Stars and Full Tilt are bigger but the offer ain’t that good. Stars sucks at Bonus and rakeback (indeed there’s no chance to get some) and Full Tilts 27 % rakeback is pretty standard and not very lucrative in combination with the tight tables there.
Ipoker is different and it’s pretty easy to get rakeback there. But you have to pay attention. Not every rakeback offer is serious and trustworthy. That’s one of the reasons why I started this blog. You can find a lot of information here about the iPoker rakeback situation.
And why am I focusing on iPoker rather than Ongame or any other network?
I’m playing at ipoker myself and there’s no thought about changing. Especially because I’ve got a great rakeback deal there. If Stars had ten times more traffic I wouldn’t change that.
And the iPoker rakeback situation is very unique and fast changing. In fact there is no official rakeback at ipoker but that’s why it is so exciting.
Warum iPoker?

Dass Stars und Full Tilt hier noch ein paar Nummern größer sind ist keine Frage. Doch entsprechend schlecht sieht auch meistens das Angebot dort aus. Auf Ipoker hingegen kann man inzwischen relativ einfach an Rakeback kommen. Doch hier muss man gut aufpassen, denn nicht alles ist seriös und vertrauenswürdig. Das ist eine der Hauptgründe warum ich diesen Blog initiiert habe. Er soll die Spieler über die Rakeback Situation bei iPoker aufklären und sie vor Dummheiten hindern.
Und warum ich mich jetzt auf iPoker und nicht auf Ongame oder sonst etwas konzentriere:
Ich spiele selbst auf iPoker und denke nicht dran zu wechseln. Hier habe ich ein gutes Rakeback Angebot, das ich sehr gerne nutze. Da kann Stars zehnmal mehr Traffic haben und könnte das nicht kompensieren.
Und außerdem ist die Rakeback Situation auf iPoker etwas ganz spezielles. Denn eigentlich gibt es das nicht und hier möchte ich klären warum wieso weshalb.

VIP Boost bei iPoker Rakeback
Bei iPoker gibt es verschiedene VIP Levels bzw. Ränge. Hierzu gehört der VIP Boost, der nicht direkt mit Rakeback gleichgesetzt werden kann. Er hilft allerdings FPPs schneller zu akkumulieren und macht in etwa weitere 2 – 4 % an Rakeback bei iPoker aus. Wenn du also ein iPoker Rakeback Angebot erhältst, solltest du auch nach dem VIP Level fragen. Wenn ein VIP Boost mit eingebaut ist, bedeutet das einen zusätzlichen Rakeback von etwa 2 – 4 % und muss damit bei Vergleichen mit einberechnet werden.
